Gift of Giving - let the fun begin!

The Gift of Giving with The Table Community Foundation:
An opportunity for kids to experience the joy of giving before receiving

Kids submit a letter about what “giving” means to them. 100 kids are selected and given the chance to shop for toys at Target with a shopping volunteer. Before they can choose a toy for themselves, they must first select a toy for another child.

Get in on the action: 
Please consider giving a child a chance to participate in the Gift of Giving by providing a monetary donation in the form of a Target gift card. Our goal is $125 for each child  

• Email gift cards go to engage@thetablecf.org 
• Physical gift cards can be brought to the Holiday Hub on Sundays (deadline Thursday, 12/11/2025)

How You Can Help:

• Give: Provide a Target gift card ($125 covers one child).
  • E-gift cards: send to engage@thetablecf.org
  • Physical cards: drop at the Welcome Desk (deadline: 12/11/25)
• Volunteer: Shop with a student at Target Elk Grove on Saturday, December 13th, at 8:30am. Midtown Livescan Required.

Our Why:

• Last year, one participant, homeless and living with his mom in shelters, chose to give away his entire basket of toys. When reminded, he could keep some, he said: “I want to give all of the toys to other children because I never want another child to experience not having anything to call their own.”
